The time of the year to celebrate “being friends of Adhunika” is here. Please join us on April 2, 2016 at the Annual Fund Raising Event in Celebration of 14 years of Adhunika.

Adhunika seeks to empower under-served girls and women in Bangladesh through technological training, scholarships and workshops related to health and legal rights awareness, job proficiency and English language workshops. Our latest activities include the work of Team Adhunika Jr.– our dedicated team of Adhunika’s children– who are supporting children their age to attend school.

If you have been part of the celebration, you know the evening is full of amazing performances by our dedicated volunteers. If you have never been to the celebration, you are missing out on a magical evening with Friends of Adhunika. Come through to make a difference.

The evening celebration includes:

• A skit written, directed & performed by Team Adhunika Jr., based on the lives of the school-going children living in the streets whom they are supporting this year
• A captivating dance performance representing the power of women persevering amidst extraordinary circumstances
• Presentation by Friends of Adhunika on projects in Bangladesh and friends’ recent visits to Adhunika Women’s Centre in Bangladesh
• Musical performances by The Feringhees, Punam, Nayema, Emon, Rousseau, Shami, Faiyaaz,  Ifte Chowdhury & Friends
• Adhunika booth– Learn about the Adhunika Foundation, how you can support our various projects in Bangladesh and how you can remain involved year-round
• Team Adhunika Jr. booth– Find out about the project they are supporting & how you can get involved
• A solo photo exhibition to showcase work of Sid S. Y. to support projects by Team Adhunika Jr. 
• Networking opportunity to meet with Adhunika’s collaborative partners and to meet young professionals representing local nonprofit and for-profit organizations
• Last but not least, authentic mouthwatering Bangladeshi food
