TAJ STORY: Probha Hasan
’m Probha and I’m currently a junior in high school. I joined Adhunika back in August 2015 as one of the founding members of Team Adhunika Jr. (TAJ) .
My favorite memories from TAJ. are at Chatpati Mela. I can’t pick a favorite year, as they are all so valuable and special. The process itself of putting the whole thing together is a difficult feat and very rewarding. The event itself is even moreso. Getting to raise money for underprivileged children in Bangladesh is a unique experience, I am so honored to be a part of, as I know my contributions are making an active difference. Chatpati Mela is also my favorite because I get to see so many other causes and passions as well as cultures. I’m so grateful for that kind of exposure.
My favorite part of the project, aside from being able to positively affect the lives of less fortunate people, is definitely the people I work with. This team is really close-knit and passionate. We also work cohesively since everyone has different skills and perspectives to offer.
In the upcoming years, I would love to see more frequent events. These past few years have been so difficult with the pandemic, but hopefully with cases lowering we can start to branch out again. I can’t wait to see what the future holds, happy 20th anniversary Adhunika!
