Resource Guide for Survivors of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault

Adhunika Foundation: Updated 11/1/13

Please keep in mind that while Adhunika does not provide direct services to women facing violence, we aspire to create awareness about gender violence in our communities and end all forms of violence against women.

If you are in need of immediate emergency assistance, please call 911.

The purpose of this guide is to provide a list of domestic violence, sexual assault and legal resources to members of the Adhunika community and anyone else seeking help for themselves or someone they know.

The focus of this guide is on domestic violence and sexual assault resources in New York and New Jersey, particularly organizations that work with South Asian and immigrant communities in general. The guide also includes links to directories of South Asian-specific and mainstream organizations nationally and internationally.

This guide was compiled by Anuradha Gurnani for Adhunika Foundation. To report errors or suggestions for resources, please email contact@adhunika.org
