An Understanding It was spring then summer. Exposed beneath her skin, she danced high on life Inhaling every bit of it through the light. Endless pathways of memories are taking their shape slowly She cried and lived, all with joy. Say her time is soon, though. She will awake to her own emergence in smoke, confused. Becoming less, they walk by her, not knowing her being or reality, but she knows what they don’t- Life will Begin, End, Continue Like a- River that gleams with the same luster as silk ripples of existence converging together. This is her understanding of the Past, Present, Future- as one. ~~~ Rodela Khan, February, 2007
